An Anthology of Canadian Science Fiction

Finalist for the Aurora Award!

My wife Carolyn Clink and I edited the acclaimed Canadian science fiction and fantasy anthology Tesseracts 6, published by Tesseract Books of Edmonton in December 1997 (now part of EDGE Publishing).

"A delightful mixture, presenting a full spectrum: from hard-core science-based tales through to the purest New Wave SF. Tesseracts 6 is an exhibition of state-of-the-art work; a true feast to satisfy and intrigue every reader." — The Edmonton Journal
"Brings together the year's best Canadian speculative fiction." — Canadian Book Review Annual

[Crossing]

Crossing the Line

Canadian Mysteries with a Fantastic Twist

David Skene-Melvin and I edited this anthology of crime-fiction stories that also happen to be science fiction, fantasy, or horror, published by Pottersfield Press of Nova Scotia in October 1998.

"Who says you can't mix crime and speculative fiction? Certainly not the authors in this excellent anthology. The editors have carefully chosen good writing that contains elements of horror, science fiction, fantasy and mystery, and kept it Canadian. For those who haven't yet discovered the crossover talents of Robert J. Sawyer, this is a great way to begin. The book also affords an excellent introduction to the vampire mysteries of Tanya Huff, the elegant stylistics of William Gibson, the marvelous ghost stories of Robertson Davies, and a clever little tale by one of my favourite authors, Terence M. Green. — Margaret Cannon in The Globe and Mail: Canada's National Newspaper
"This is a reprint collection of SF and fantasy mysteries with Canadian themes, and if you thought that was too restrictive to allow a good assortment, you'd be wrong. There's not a bad or mediocre story in the lot." — Science Fiction Chronicle
"Great writing — fresh and skillful tales, following in their genre's traditions. I enjoyed all of them. To the extent that you like good writing in any genre and are a mystery fan with catholic tastes, you will thoroughly appreciate these stories." — The Mystery Review
"Will appeal to mystery lovers who have a taste for the bizarre." — Canadian Book Review Annual
